ABOUT RIVERSIDE ESCAPES
In the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, on the banks of the French Broad River... there’s a secret hideaway…
Whether your idea of “getting away” is fly-fishing, camping, or just sipping lemonade on the deck, Riverside Escapes has a place for you…
Just a ten minute drive from Weaverville and a scenic twenty minute drive from the center of downtown Asheville, Riverside Escapes is close enough to take advantage of all the modern excitement the area has to offer, but just far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet of the old fashioned mountain life!
Riverside Escapes is located on a unique stretch of land adjacent to the French Broad River in Alexander, NC, a rural area just outside Asheville, NC. The campus of our retreat includes 3 acres along the shore and a very unique island accessible via our private 100 foot long suspension bridge. This is the only privately held island in the French Broad River. Our rustic Americana Cabin is located on the island surrounded by the beautiful waters of the French Broad.
